I had made a short list of iOS-exclusive apps (14, updated to 17) which, on hindsight required a lot more additions. So herewith another list of some beautiful, iOS-only apps:
Mustbin: according to Techcrunch, backed by $4.5 million in funding, Mustbin wants to become the go-to service for organizing everything you have that’s important – including passwords, financial data, home and vehicle info, health and medical documents, and more – all securely encrypted in the cloud.
Night Sky 2: simply gorgeous stargazing app.
Write for iOS: fantastic, feature-rich note taking app, made in Mumbai by Tanmay Sonawane.
Skyguide: another stargazing app that looks mouth-wateringly good.
SnapGuide: an easy way to make and share great looking guides.
iA Writer: one of my favourite iOS apps – clean, elegant, useful.
Nike+ Move App: Exclusively for use with iPhone 5S, Nike+ Move uses the M7 coprocessor to convert your movement into NikeFuel, the first-ever single, universal unit for measuring all kinds of activities.
Mailbox: generated a lot of buzz prior to launch and has been acquired by Dropbox since then.
Kickstarter for iPhone: press blurb – With the Kickstarter app, you’ll have thousands of projects in your hands and a front row seat to the creative process
Turbine: another gorgeous, iOS 7 optimised RSS reader app. Not as ‘visible’ in tech blogs as Reeder but has got positive reviews.
Mextures: beautiful app, beautiful site.
VSCO Cam: a photography app that stands out from the crowd.
IFTTT: IFTTT lets you create powerful connections with one simple statement — if this then that. A jaw-droopingly ‘different’ concept in apps, it takes automation of tasks between inter-connected services to another level.
Wordsworth: an old favourite from the 99Games stable.
Game Your Video: add cool features and effects to your videos on the iPhone
Interesting for iPhone: simple, iOS 7 optimised news aggregator
Breaking News+ from NBC: a ‘Breaking News’ app which places a lot of control in the user’s hands
