This seems like cause marketing week. The folks at Method, makers of environment-friendly home and personal care products, have created the People Against Dirty campaign. The argument: your household cleaner could be dirty. The TV commercial (Droga 5) is quite amusing thanks to the literal take on suds that get dirty. I love it when unique, local perceptions come into play in an otherwise ‘global idea’. I am sure ‘shake proof digital camera’ has been rendered effectively in many ways across the world. But what better way to bring the idea alive than Asia’s very own 3-wheelers? Known as tuk-tuks or autos they are notorious for their shaky rides. Same topic, different approach. Came across this interesting campaign called Plane Stupid, which attempts to bring the aviation industry back to earth. Their issue: we are flying too much and it’s affecting the climate. Specifically, they are up in arms against short haul flights, aviation advertising and industry expansion.
