The App Store advantage: keeping iPhone ahead

Came across this ad from O2, the UK telecom player for the iPhone. No, not an ad selling the iPhone handset bundle but one that highlights how the Christmas season can be better thanks to the Apps.

Rankles me no end to know that in India we are nowhere near this stage when it comes to iPhone marketing. Blackberry, Nokia and others have woken up to the App Store threat – it has the potential to make switching handsets difficult. Apple doesn’t have to worry about that happening in the near future in India – simply because iPhone isn’t a threat to the big boys here. Sigh.
