Came across this set of ads for Suraj Electronics, Delhi. Suraj, who? Exactly. Like me, if you haven’t heard the name, don’t worry – this is bound to make the rounds of ad blogs and Creative Awards. The attempt is to sell the generic benefits of LCD TVs and the creative idea is to subliminally cue iconic visual moments – be it films or famous paintings – through pixels that come alive. The claim: if a few pixels can tell a story, imagine what a million can do. Brilliant idea and execution.
Copy: If four pixels can tell you a story, imagine what millions can. Visual cue: The Last Supper (if you didn’t get it).
If two pixels can tell you a story, imagine what millions can. Visual cue: er….Titanic.
If two pixels can tell you a story, imagine what millions can. Visual cue: Men in Black.
Agency: JWT, New Delhi
Rest of the ads are here. Not all the ads have the same telegraphic quality about them – with some you strain a little bit to figure out the visual cue. Scam or not, copied or not, interesting idea for the category.

suraj electronics doesn't seems to have even a website.. wonder why.. frankly i did not get any idea about the other ads… is it good copy that don't sell??
Harish, am not surprised about Suraj Electronics not having a website. The other ads – the hope is that members of a creative jury will get it!;)
It's never too early for the season is it?
Apparently, not!
Although a lot of these copies made it to ads of the world, have there been any instances of seeing them on any print channel?
Abhishek, I am not aware. It could have been released locally in Delhi.
