‘Great execution, no idea’ is an accusation levelled at many ads with dazzling, jaw-dropping computer graphics. At least, I have heard that a lot in my ad agency days. Two new spots for Honda’s new HRV Crossover prove (if proof was ever needed) that sometimes execution can go hand-in-hand with an idea.
The first one deftly brings alive the idea that every new Honda model was inspired by a previous great model from Honda – both pedigree and design credentials established.
Another one brings alive the idea that getting something right usually means ‘losing’ something else (as the Hindi saying goes, ‘kuch paane ke liye…’) – there is a give and take. The link to Honda HR-V: The crossover that gets everything just right.

Every new model inspired by previous great model? Only the Honda can do this.
