Withings is a consumer-electronics firm which ‘creates smart products and apps to take care of yourself and your loved ones in a new and easy way’; Man+Hatchet is an earned media advertising agency. The partnership has created a share-worthy video to drive home a health message. Shot with 100 people, over 3 days in Estonia, it took more than 2,000 still images stitched together to create this amazing stop-motion animation.
Agency: Man+Hatchet, London
The video could very well have been shot with clothed people but it wouldn’t have helped the viral quotient. Also the central premise of not being too happy to see our naked (often unshapely) bodies in the mirror it wouldn’t have done the idea justice. Such videos which go viral and help create awareness about relatively unknown brands, represent the best of new media marketing (remember Blendtec?).
