Travel & tourism usually showcase the splendour of the host country – breathtaking visuals and a visual tour of the sights are common. Among this lot comes this amusing campaign for Swiss Tourism, which dramatizes the length to which ordinary Swiss folks go, to deliver the perfect holiday. It could mean cleaning the mountains (!), pressing the flags, oiling the squeaky windows and so on.
I thought the press ads worked a tad better than the TVC, which could have been a bit more edgy and kinda dragged a bit. In an earlier post, I had talked about travel advertising ringing true to the locals too. With tourists being such an integral part of Switzerland, I am sure locals find the proposition of ‘going to great lengths to make a perfect holiday’ ringing true.
