Bajaj’s Twisted Sisters: quite a thrill ride

Finally, a TV commercial for a macho bike, where the screen time is dominated by women. In a refreshingly new take on bike ads, two sisters fight it out to be the pillion rider in the new Bajaj XCD 135.

While one may quibble that the premise of ‘going to great lengths to get it’ is oft used across categories (soft drinks, for one), the execution is gripping. The twist is in the central plot of two sisters fighting it, out makes which makes it different from the typical all-male macho bike ads. The ad does justice to showcasing bike features also – where most bike ads stop at. Worked for you too?

  1. A fresh concept indeed. And I thought it was well executed, except for the voice they used at the end.

  2. Outstanding ad! Really good idea! And superbly executed!!!!! This is one that i wish I had done!!!!

  3. This is a brilliant one. Kudos to OnM team for this and ofcourse Bajaj Brand team who could appreciate a really disruptive idea like this. I just could not believe the first time saw that it was a motor – cycle commercial… After “Definitely Male” and “Hoodibaba”, Bajaj has cracked it again.
