50 years of J&J web banner: cute but not relevant?

As banners go this one should be commended for being different, engaging. To celebrate 50 years of J&J, they had this banner with an in-built slider. Moving the slider forward or backward opens up a new window with key events of that decade.

But walking through history and viewing events like Tianenmen Square sits better with news channels & magazines, and not J&J?

As an aside, the great thing about Bannerblog is it’s focus. There are several ad blogs which showcase creative – covering print, TV ads, Outdoor and Ambient. Bannerblog chooses to focus only on online ads, mainly banners.
