Seen and noted: Thwaites Wainwright – antidote to modern life

A lovely print campaign for Thwaites Wainwright Golden Ale, extolling the virtues of countryside living. The campaign uses beautifully illustrated Lakeland scenes, stylistically based on the black-and-white drawings in Alfred Wainwright’s guide books for fell walkers.

I adore these drawings and the campaign. Really reminds me of all the walks we went on in the Dales and the Lake District with my parents when we were kids. My dad was, and still is a keen reader of these guides. He told me it made him fall in love with the fells of North yorks and the Lakes. The drawings bring all the memories back . Very clever campaign …Love it!
