Between bookmarked sites, Twitter and RSS feeds which showcase advertising, I come across many new creative ideas every week. As with advertising in real life, only a handful are memorable. Here are my picks for the week ending 15th April, 2016: Snickers, HelloFlo and more.
Snickers: wrapper
It takes a bold, confident brand to approve such an idea: in which advertised brand is made to look like competing brands in terms of pack graphics. Of course it helps when all the brands are owned by the same company, Mars Inc. It shows the power of the ‘You’re not you when you’re hungry’ concept.

Organic Valley: Real Morning Report
In Real Morning Report, a survey among 1,000 working women in America, it is revealed that for them ‘real mornings’ are very different portrayals of their lives in advertising (79% have eaten in a moving vehicle, and 36% say they will re-wear dirty clothes). But 100% of professional women have time for an organic breakfast in a bottle. Hilarious video is sure to touch a chord among the audience.

Aunt Flo: HelloFlo
HelloFlo aims to ‘offer one-of-a-kind care packages to help women and girls through transitional times in their life’ and this ad from them deftly captures the various scenarios in which Aunt Flo (code for menstruation) visits or leaves for good.

Domino’s Pizza Boxes
In the UK, Domino’s pizza boxes have gone through a re-design anchored on the brand logo & colours. Loved the striking simplicity.
